8-Port Blade for OptilinxTM Series Optical Switch The 8-port SFP interface blade is easily inserted into the OLX-1000 Mainframe Optical Switch, accommodating any standard Small Form Pluggable (SFP) laser for absolute flexibility, inventory control, and reduced down-time.

System Design The SFPB-800, when used with the OptilinxTM OLX-1000, enables high-speed Optical Switching between all 16 ports. Each port can accommodate an SFP module up to 4.25 Gbps per port. Since each SFP provides for female Tx and Rx LC connections, each port can accommodate bi-directional transmission, allowing up to 16 connections per each single SFPB-800 blade. Up to two (2) blades can be inserted into the OptilinxTM OLX-1000 Mainframe, enabling up to 16 Ports, or 32 connections, via the single compact 1RU switch. Different types of SFP transceivers support a variety of network configurations.
